Product Description

UHF Tamper-Proof RFID Windshield Tag (ISO 18000-6C/GEN2) – Printable, EPC Encoding, One-Time Use for Tolling & Parking Access

Key Features

  • Tamper-proof one-time use: destructs or opens circuit when peeled, preventing transfer between vehicles.
  • Automotive adhesive: optimized for windshield glass; stable in heat, UV, humidity.
  • Long-range UHF: fast drive-through identification for toll lanes and parking gates.
  • Printable surface: support CMYK logo, plate serial, barcode/QR, variable text.
  • Secure memory: EPC & user memory encoding, optional password lock/kill.
  • Easy deployment: roll or piece supply, simple windshield placement jigs available.

Typical Applications

  • Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) and open-road tolling
  • Gated parking & access control (residential, office, hospitals, airports)
  • Fleet/lease car identification & mileage-based billing
  • University & campus traffic management
  • Logistics yards, ports, and secure facilities

How It Works

  1. Encode: EPC & user memory are programmed with vehicle/owner data and locked.
  2. Apply: Clean glass → position behind rear-view mirror or specified zone → apply firmly.
  3. Identify: Gate antenna reads tag; controller checks whitelist/permissions.
  4. Open: Valid → barrier lifts automatically; invalid → alarm/deny.
  5. Audit: Events pushed to server for billing, dwell time, and fraud analytics.

Specifications

Air Interface UHF EPC Class-1 Gen-2 / ISO 18000-6C
Chip Options NXP UCODE®, Impinj Monza®, Alien Higgs® or equivalent (EPC + User memory)
Frequency 860–960 MHz (region tuned)
Read Range* Up to 6–12 m on windshield glass (reader/antenna dependent)
Label Size Common: 85×54 mm / 100×30 mm / 100×50 mm; custom shapes available
Material PET/PVC face + destructible/tamper layer + automotive adhesive
Finish Matte / glossy printable; serial, barcode/QR, UID mapping supported
Tamper Feature Break-on-peel or circuit-open design (one-time use)
Operating Temp -20 ~ +70 °C (storage: -40 ~ +85 °C)
Compliance RoHS, REACH; regional RF approvals on request
Packing Rolls or individual pieces; encoding & QA reports available

* Performance varies by reader power, antenna gain, glass type, and tag placement.

Installation Tips

  • Mount inside cabin on clean, dry glass; avoid dotted/frit areas if they attenuate RF.
  • Keep ≥5 cm away from metal film, dash cameras, or heater wires.
  • Press from center outwards to expel bubbles; 24 h curing for best adhesion.

Anti-Fraud Controls

  • Unique EPC/serial binding to license plate & account
  • Whitelist/blacklist, time-window & zone rules
  • Tamper alarm on peel-off attempts (circuit break)

FAQ

Will the tag work with tinted or heated windshields?

Most tints are fine. Metalized films and dense heater wires may attenuate RF—use the recommended placement zones or an external headlamp/plate tag.

Can I reuse the tag on another car?

No. The tamper-proof layer breaks or the RF circuit opens when removed, preventing transfer.

Can you pre-print and pre-encode?

Yes. We provide CMYK printing, EPC/user memory encoding, password lock, and data files (CSV) for system binding.

What read range should I expect?

Typical 6–12 m with fixed gate antennas. Exact range depends on reader power (e.g., 30–33 dBm), antenna gain, and glass type.
